As we approach the holy days of GREAT LENT, all of us are asked to participate to receive His Blessings in anticipation of His Coming Resurrection. Our Youth, in particular, have a major role in the many services in the days to come.  All of us, at every age, have a role.

Begining Friday March 22, 2024
All the youth of our Community (Altar Boys and Girls 4th grade and up) are invited to participate in the services on Friday nights of the Holy Salutations – services begin at 6:30 pm, we ask for our young people to be at Church at 6:00pm**.  The first 4 Fridays in 2024 (March 22, March 29, April 5, April 12) involve a portion of the Akathist Hymn. the 5th Friday April 19th the entire Akathist Hymn is sung. In addition to processional participation, our Girls will chant the Prayer to the Virgin Mary. Boys will recite the Prayer to our Lord. Prayers are found below.

**Choir Director Merri Fefles will meet the girls singing Aspile at 5:45pm on March 22 to practice. Other practice times may be added at her discretion.

Begining Sunday April 28th 2024 (Palm Sunday Evening) HOLY WEEK

All the youth of our Community (Altar Boys and Girls 4th grade and up) are invited to participate in the services of Holy Week. Girls will be asked to hold candles for the first 4 services of Holy Week (April 28, April 29, April 30, May 1*, May2). Services begin at 6:30pm, we ask for our young people to be at Church at 6:00pm.

Holy Friday- May 3rd, 2024 - Myrofores

Girls 4th grade and up will be asked to participate as Myrofores on Holy Friday Evening. More information will be shared closer to Holy Week.
